In a unique place-making initiative, Wowhaus integrated a series of artworks and beneficial plantings to help transform one of Charlotte’s major arteries into one of the first official “Greenroad” streetscapes in the USA: A series of “Good Signs of Nature” highlight native flora and fauna, while two landmark sculptures feature “quilts” made with reclaimed street signs. Fostering pedestrian engagement, a dynamic Art Crosswalk design features the cardinal, a native bird.
