Evoking the Magnus snail – of local natural & cultural historical significance – 3 functional sculptures create seating amd a convivial gathering place, activating a pedestrian way. The Magnus snail is native to Lake Champlain and is a magical shape-shifting spirit creature in local folklore. Sculptures were locally crafted from granite, a stone that is characteristic of the regional ecosystem.
